In the painting that i gave to you that led straight to your depression. though the pills you were prescribed you got a addicted and only made it worse. you couldn't be awake for one whole hour, no your eyes would always be blood shot. people would ask you are you in the circus or do you really swallow swords? now your running through a field, yeah that same very field that your grandfather walked when he was young. and your brother would tell you stories about war and the destruction that it brung. and so they screamed dear old friend oh i am so so very sorry. and they screamed dear old friend oh don't you worry one bit. just like the small pox, when you had the chicken pox your mom told you you would get one time. and now your running through a damp dirty alley screaming dear old mother sally, and she screamed back go and rebel against your teachers, principles, pastors, and police too. and you screamed dear old friend once again i am so very sorry and they screamed dear old friend we are all forgiven but the whiskey bottle's been running dry.

it kills me 05:42
now that i'm sitting old and grey, and looking back at all our days. counting all the bags of dirt, and all the times i made you hurt. oh it kills me. it's no use trying to apologize, after all the hundred times you tried. the distance has grown between us, you look at me like a stranger. oh it kills me. and days will still go on, and days will still go on when i'm gone away. just like the chimney two feet away, burning all of our photos to stray. the smoke and ash would float around. finally our memories fade, oh it kills me. my main fear is laying in my death bed, missed chances and all the things i should of said. the places i should of seen, wondering what could of been. oh it kills me. days will still go on, and days will still go on when i'm gone away. don't you remember when i sang you to sleep? don't you remember when you fell and scraped your knee? cause darling i do. days will still go on, and days will still go on when i'm gone away.
